The brief for this knock-down rebuild was to create a new home that is sensitive to its c.1920s surrounding while satisfying the client’s persuasion for contemporary architecture. The approach was to create a dwelling with a street aspect that is in keeping with its neighbouring properties, while at the rear stacked volumes with landscaped roofs presents a more modern intervention. Jordan joined the project during design development and assumed responsibility for construction documentation, tender & contract administration up until completion of the structural core.
