Barwon Heads Road
Architecture | BKK Architects
The project duplicates a four-kilometre arterial route that links Geelong with Barwon Heads, and includes grade separating the Melbourne-Warrnambool rail corridor with a new road-over-rail bridge. The design of the rail bridge is built around the need to respond to sensitive residential, cultural and environmental interfaces while also providing a robust and practical integration with engineered structures. A corridor-wide interpretative design narrative has been guided by over one-thousand generations of knowledge and understanding of Country, through direct engagement with Wadawurrung Traditional Owners over five collaborative design workshops. As Project Architect, Jordan’s role was to lead the architectural documentation package; always advocating for and delivering the best possible urban design outcome.
