Design and documentation of a new-build home for a family of six. On a small plot subject to significant planning controls, a challenge of the brief was to keep the building within the prescribed 7.5-metre height limit above natural ground level, while striving to maximise the views from the elevated site. The solution was a terracing of floor plates; working within the natural fall of the site, the house cascades down the site to stay within the required height limit, while maximising the elevation and outlook from key living spaces.
